Liglass company |

LIGLASS, Inc., located in the municipality of Lisny near Zelezny Brod, is a company with a rich tradition in of the production of glasswork.

Since the 1860s small and mid-sized entrepreneurs have established glassworks in Jablonec nad Nisou, Zelezny Brod as well as in Lisny. The first typical glass workshops, the so-called „driketa“, and small glass workrooms have grown and these have become the base of Jablonec´s production of glass jewellery.

In December 1920 the public glass-trade school in Zelezny Brod was established, which notably influenced the artistic level of Jablonec´s jewellery and glass. This school has also inspired the development of products in the company LIGLASS, Inc.

In the year 1958 the original factory in Lisny was rebuilt into the first large jewellery and glass factory in this region. The traditional production was modernized.
